FRANKLIN BANK LAUNCHES MUTUAL FUND SALES PROGRAM

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Franklin Bank, N.A. (NASDAQ-NMS: FSVB) today announced that it has begun offering mutual fund products at all its branches.
Initially, Franklin is offering the Federated Investors' Liberty Family of Funds. Federated, founded in 1955, manages over $61 billion of fund assets and distributes its funds through more than 3,000 financial institutions throughout the United States.
The sale of mutual funds at Franklin provides the bank's customers an alternative investment opportunity, which may potentially improve returns in this period of lower deposit interest rates, while at the same time providing the convenience of one-stop investment shopping.
"Many of our customers have expressed an interest in being able to purchase mutual funds as part of their everyday banking activities. Our new relationship with Federated Investors, one of the leading distributors of quality mutual funds through banks, allows us to better serve our customers' needs and expand our product base," said David F. Simon, chairman of Franklin Bank.
Representatives are available in each of Franklin's three regional branches and by telephone to assist prospective customers in analyzing their investment needs and purchasing the Federated Investors' mutual funds.
The Federated Investors' Liberty Family of Funds are structured to fit a variety of individual investment objectives; including income, capital growth and tax savings. Interested investors are encouraged to call Franklin's Business Development Group at 313-358-5170 for more information or stop by one of its branches.
Franklin Bank is headquartered in Southfield and has regional branches in Southfield, Birmingham and Grosse Pointe Woods.
NOTE: Liberty Family of Funds is distributed by Federated Securities Corporation and are sold only by means of a prospectus, which each investor should read carefully before investing or sending money. Mutual funds are not federally insured or guaranteed by the FDIC.
