 FRANK LIGUORI ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE OLSTEN CORPORATION
 WESTBURY, N.Y., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Frank N. Ligouri, chief executive officer of the Olsten Corporation (AMEX: OLS), has been elected to the post of chairman, the company's board of directors announced.
 Liguori, 45, had been vice chairman and chief executive officer of the temporary services firm since April 1990. The chairmanship has been vacant since the death of William Olsten, the company founder, in November 1991.
 Under Liguori's stewardship, Olsten, which has long been a leading provider of temporary office services, has significantly expanded its representation in home health care. The December 1990 acquisition of Upjohn HealthCare Services for $58 million has tripled Olsten's business base in health care.
 In 1991, for the first time, Olsten exceeded $1 billion in combined company and franchise sales.
 Liguori's previous title of vice chairman will not be filled; Stuart Olsten continues to be president and chief operating officer.
 Liguori has more than 20 years of experience in the temporary help industry, beginning his career as controller for Olsten in 1971. In 1983, he became chief operating officer and was promoted to the presidency in 1986. In April 1990, he was named vice president and chief executive officer.
 Liguori is a former president of the National Association of Temporary Services (NATS) where he has served as a member of the board of directors and executive committee since 1982. He also serves on the board of Home Health Services and Staffing Association (HHSSA). He is a member of the New York chapter of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; a member of the National Association of Accountants; a member of the board of trustees of WLIW, Channel 21, Long Island; and a member of the executive advisory council of the New York Institute of Technology, School of Management.
 Liguori as a graduate of St. Francis College, N.Y. and holds a BBA degree in accounting. He resides in Dix Hills, N.Y., with his wife, Jo Ann. They have two children, Frank and Mark.
 The Olsten Corporation, headquartered in Westbury, N.Y., is a major supplier of temporary personnel to business, industry, government and health care organizations through its network of over 700 offices throughout the United States and Canada. The company was founded in 1950 and its first public offering took place in 1968. In 1982, its shares began trading on the American Stock Exchange.
