FRAMEWORK FOR SCREAMS MAGIC MOUNTAIN'S 16TH COASTER UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

Construction on Magic Mountain's newest roller coaster is under way at Six Flags For the national flags of Texas, see .

Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) is the world's largest chain of amusement parks and theme parks and is headquartered in New York City. There are 20 such parks run by Six Flags.

Officials of the Swiss company that designed the ride, Bolliger and Mabillard, promise to thrill 1,600 passengers an hour on the ride's three trains, Gallardo said.

The new coaster breaks Magic Mountain's own world record for the theme park with the most thrill rides, according to the Guinness World Records. Its X coaster was just awarded the best new roller coaster in 2002 by the Popular Science Magazine.
