 MIAMI, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- FPL today released the following


Hurricane Andrew restoration summary:
 The number of Florida Power & Light Co. customer accounts still without power has been reduced to approximately 31,800 today. The status of remaining restoration work:
 1. PERRINE area -- SW 168th Street to SW 208th Street, east of SW 137th Avenue, 81 percent restored. Approximately 3,600 customer accounts are without service. Restoration estimated to be 9/23; previous estimate was 9/26.
 2. PRINCETON area -- SW 168th Street to SW 280th Street, 29 percent restored. Approximately 19,200 customer accounts remain without service. Restoration estimated to be 9/27.
 3. HOMESTEAD/FLORIDA CITY areas -- SW 280th Street to Monroe County, 38 percent restored. Approximately 8,900 customer accounts are without service. Restoration now estimated to be 9/22; previous estimate was 9/26.
 FPL this week is beginning to release some of the crews from out-of-state utilities that have participated in the restoration effort. For example, Duke Power and South Carolina Electric & Gas crews will be returning to their home territories beginning today. FPL will continue to operate with sufficient extra crews from other utilities and contract firms so that resources are matched properly with the remaining workload.
 In addition, extra contract crews brought into Dade County to clear trees and debris from power lines and other utility facilities have been released after completing their task. FPL has returned to normal line clearing operations in Dade County.
