FPL Continues to Make Progress in Restoring Power; Nearly 65 Percent of Affected Customers Now With Power.

FPL has a trained workforce of 10,000 men and women that are working around the clock to rebuild and restore power. Approximately 6,000 workers are deployed in the field working on clearing lines and debris, rebuilding damaged electrical facilities and restoring electricity safely and as quickly as possible.

More than 5,800 field personnel from other utilities, part of a mutual aid assistance program, are hard at work on the rebuild and restoration effort.

The company continues to urge everyone to be safe, including customers, and FPL personnel and contractors out in the field. Stay away from downed power lines as well as flooded areas. Do not walk in standing water and do not venture into areas of debris, since you may not be able to see a power line that could still be energized and dangerous.
