               ARBITRON LOCAL TELEVISION RATINGS SERVICE
    NEW YORK, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ --  The Arbitron Company recently announced that Fox Television Stations Inc. has signed a letter of intent for a multi-year contract for the Arbitron local television ratings service for all seven of the Fox-owned television stations.

    WNYW            New York                Household meter service
    KDAF            Dallas                  Household meter service
    KRIV            Houston                 Household meter service
    KSTU            Salt Lake City          Diary ratings service
    WNYW and KSTU return as Arbitron subscribers (effective with the November survey) after periods of non-service.  The announced agreement also renews an expiring contract for WFLD, and extends existing contracts with WTTG, KTTV, KRIV and KDAF.
    Arbitron is a part of Control Data's Information Services business. Control Data (NYSE: CDA) applies computer technology to meet customers' specialized computing and information management needs.  The Company consists of three primary businesses:  Information Services, Computer Products and Government Systems.
