 professor Richard Skidmore of Lancaster resident, Andrejcik and Brown have filed candidacy papers for the election for two four-year terms on the high school board, Los Angeles County election officials said Friday.

Isaac Barcelona, a leader of the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, is the only candidate so far to file papers for a two-year term, which will fill the seat vacated earlier this year by the resignation of trustee Steve Landaker.

``I have seen the quality of output of our secondary education decline,'' said Skidmore. ``We need to improve the education of our young people so that they are better prepared for the job market in the 21st century.''
