The collections will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations:

--The Lancaster city facility at 46008 7th St. West;

--The Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County yard at 8505 E. Ave. T, Littlerock;

--The library lot at 38510, Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling , Palmdale;

--The county facility at 4859 W. Avenue L-12, Quartz Hill.

Tires from cars, light trucks and SUVs will be accepted, but tires with rims and over-size tractor tires will not.

The tire recycling Tire recycling is the process of recycling vehicles tires (or tyres) that are no longer suitable for use on vehicles due to wear or irreparable damage (such as punctures).  is being offered by the county Department of Public Works to cut down on illegal dumping of tires.

Residents who drop off tires at one of the four collection points will receive 15 percent discounts toward the purchase of Firestone and Bridgestone tires from Firestone Complete Auto Care. Participants also will be entered in a drawing for four free tickets to a race at the Irwindale Speedway.
