FOUNDATION CHANNELS RECYCLED COMPUTERS TO SCHOOLS.Byline: Yardena Arar Daily News Staff Writer Schools participating in NetDay96 will emerge with wiring that links five classrooms and one central location, such as a library or computer lab. The foundation has put 19,000 computers in schools during the past four years, 6,000 of them in 1995, said Diana Detwiler, executive director of the foundation created by her father, financier John Detwiler. The response has been so great that the foundation upped the matching requirement from one to two machines late last year.
