FORTUNE Announces Third Annual Battle of the Corporate Bands; Event will take place at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2003

FORTUNE announced today that it will host the third annual FORTUNE Battle of the Corporate Bands The FORTUNE Battle of the Corporate Bands is an annual music competition for amateur company-sponsored bands in the United States and Australia. Created in 2001, the contest's proceeds benefit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, which also serves as the location for  on Saturday, October 18 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, dedicated to recording the history of some of the best-known and most influential artists, producers, and other people who have in some major way influenced the music industry, particularly in  and Museum in Cleveland, OH. The event brings together corporate bands from across the country that were selected based on demo tapes submitted to FORTUNE. The event will kick off on Friday, October 17 with a private party for the bands hosted by Gibson USA and featuring Kenny Olsen, guitarist with Kid Rock, and Johnny A, a Gibson signature guitarist from Boston.

FORTUNE editor-at-large Andy Serwer will host the event for the second year in a row. Proceeds from the Battle go to support the Education Fund of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. FORTUNE expects 500+ people to attend the Battle on Saturday night.
