FORMING A NEW PARTNERSHIP RENAULT'S F1 TEAM SIGNS WITH VALENCIA DESIGN FIRM.

VALENCIA - 3D Systems Corp. of Valencia is partnering with the Renault Formula 1 Team to establish a manufacturing center to design parts for race cars.

The Advanced Digital Manufacturing Center will be established in Enstone, England. Under the terms of the partnership agreement, 3D Systems and the Renault F1 Team will design production parts for the Renault F1 Team car.

The work will involve testing in wind tunnels wind tunnel, apparatus for studying the interaction between a solid body and an airstream. Founded in 1986, 3D Systems provides solid imaging products and solutions to reduce the time and cost of designing products and to facilitate direct and indirect manufacturing. Its systems utilize patented technologies to create physical objects from digital input used for design communication, prototyping and functional end-use parts.

July 2002 marked the 25th anniversary of Renault competing in the modern era of motor sports.

Through the 1990s, Renault boasted the most successful manufacturing in Formula 1, achieving six world championship titles as a partner with both the Williams and Benetton racing teams.
