 FORMATION OF MCA ENTERPRISES JAPAN ANNOUNCED
 UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- It was announced


today that MCA Enterprises Japan has been established to provide liaison coordination and business development opportunities in Japan between Japanese corporations and separate MCA affiliated corporations in the United States. The focus of these activities will be initially in the areas of: development of a Universal Studios Japan theme park and related enterprises; development of license opportunities for MCA/Universal Merchandising properties and personalities; activities of Winterland Productions, including designing, marketing and licensing of merchandise for the music, entertainment and sportswear industries; development, production financing and acquisition and/or distribution of animated or live action film programs intended primarily for the family entertainment market for the Family Entertainment/Universal Cartoon Studios divisions.
 Yoji Yamamoto has been named general manager of the new MCA Enterprises Japan division and will supervise the new staff dealing with these specific areas of activities.
