FORD VPs MISKOWSKI AND COUGHLAN TO RETIRE

 DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee Miskowski, vice president and general manager of Lincoln-Mercury Division, and Basil (Bud) Coughlan, vice president, North American Marketing Plans and Operations, have announced plans to retire from Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F).
 Miskowski, who has more than 37 years of service with Ford in North America and Europe, will be on special assignment from Feb. 1 in the North American Marketing and Sales Operations activity until his retirement on April 1.
 "Lee's knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry is extensive and we will miss his leadership and guidance," said Alex Trotman, chairman and chief executive officer.
 Coughlan, who has 30 years of service with Ford in North America and Europe, will retire effective Feb. 1.
 "Bud has been a dedicated and respected member of the company's management team, and his experience in both the United States and Europe has made a valuable contribution to the company," Trotman said.
 Miskowski joined Ford in 1957 as a trainee in the Lincoln-Mercury Division. He held a variety of positions with Lincoln-Mercury Division, Ford Division and the Customer Service Division, including senior management assignments. Miskowski served in Europe as vice president - Parts Operations from 1977 to 1980. He was elected a company vice president in 1990.
 Miskowski was born March 27, 1932, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Wisconsin.
 Coughlan joined Ford in 1964 in the Ford Division Northeast Regional Sales Office. He held a number of sales and marketing positions in both Ford Division and Lincoln-Mercury Division. In 1984, he was appointed executive director, Marketing Staff and from 1986 to 1992, he was vice president of Sales, Ford of Europe. He was elected a company vice president in 1988.
 Coughlan was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Worcester, Mass. He holds a bachelor's degree from Boston College and a master's degree from Columbia University.
