FORD CONTINUES INCENTIVES ON SELECTED CAR AND LIGHT TRUCK MODELS
DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) today announced that customer cash assistance and low annual-percentage- rate (APR) financing programs will be continued on selected model cars and light trucks.
The new buyer-incentive program is effective today (Dec. 4) and continues through Feb. 4, 1992. The current incentive program replaces one that expired yesterday, Dec. 3.
"Competition remains quite keen in the vehicle sales business," said Robert L. Rewey, vice president - Ford North American Sales Operations.
"We are continuing to fine-tune our customer cash allowance program to respond to customer expectations and to keep our products and dealers fully competitive in the marketplace."
Rewey noted that while many of the buyer incentives remain the same as the previous program, some cash assistance levels or low APR amounts have been improved on some vehicle lines. Under the new program, customer cash allowances will range from $400 to $2,000, or customers may choose low annual percentage rates ranging from 2.9 percent to 7.9 percent depending on the Ford or Lincoln-Mercury model selected.
