FORD'S SUZUKI TO HEAD AUTORAMA, INC.
TOKYO, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford of Japan President Konen Suzuki

has been appointed chairman of Autorama, Inc., the company which distributes Ford products in Japan.
Other appointments to Autorama's new board of directors, which has been formed in connection with the recent agreement for Ford to increase its equity and overall involvement in that company, follow.
Mr. Suzuki entered the automotive industry when he joined Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. in 1962, immediately after graduating from Tokyo University with a bachelor of science degree in philosophy. He was appointed to key positions in a number of areas, including domestic and overseas sales departments, and corporate planning at Toyota's headquarters.
In December 1990, Suzuki resigned from Nagano Toyota Co., Ltd. where he held the position of senior managing director. He was elected president of Ford Motor Company (Japan) Ltd. in February 1991.
The Autorama distribution system, which currently includes 328 outlets operated by 113 dealers throughout Japan, sold more than 75,000 Ford cars and light trucks in 1991. The volume leader was the Ford Festiva, followed by the Ford Laser and Telstar. Autorama dealers also sold about 1,700 imported vehicles from the United States.
