FORCING PARENTS TO CARE.


Georgia principals now have the threat of a $500 fine to bring parents in to talk with them about their troublemaker kids. Under statewide education reforms, school districts have the authority to ask juvenile court juvenile court

Special court handling problems of delinquent, neglected, or abused children. Two types of cases are processed by a juvenile court: civil matters, often concerning care of an abandoned or impoverished child, and criminal matters, arising from antisocial

 with parents not doing their part, not showing up for meetings and with feeling they did not have an avenue," said Tony Arasi, Cobb County associate superintendent. The new law applies only to chronically disruptive students--those who show a pattern of misbehavior that interrupts interrupts - interrupt  learning in the classroom.
