FORBES PLANS CEO FORUM FOR UCLA.

In a signal underscoring Southern California's improving economic image, Forbes magazine set its annual CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. The CEO Forum, set for June 25-27 at the campus of the University of California The University of California has a combined student body of more than 191,000 students, over 1,340,000 living alumni, and a combined systemwide and campus endowment of just over $7.3 billion (8th largest in the United States). , at Los Angeles, is designed to bring together top executives to compare ideas on management and trade policy. The previous two events were held in Toronto and Annapolis, Md.

Forbes also touted the special section of the magazine, in which executives will be able to purchase a third of a page for a photo and profile for $20,300, in an issue that will include the Top 40 list of highest-paid entertainers. The magazine runs about half a dozen such special issues with supplements on cities or states each year.

Mayor Richard Riordan also spoke at the breakfast, pointing out that the greater Los Angeles region represents the world's 11th largest economy.
