FOR THEM, A DIAMOND IS FOREVER BALL PLAYERS REVISIT VICTORY 55 YEARS AGO.Byline: Amy Raisin raisin, in botany and cooking raisin, dried fruit of certain varieties of grapevines bearing grapes with a high content of sugar and solid flesh. Darvish Staff Writer NEWHALL - The campus was unrecognizable and the school colors had changed, but the men who managed a stunning come-from-behind playoff victory for the Hart High baseball team 55 years earlier had no trouble Saturday recalling their playing days at a 1950 team reunion. Wet weather prevented the men - now in their 70s, most of them retired grandfathers - from playing a reunion game Saturday on the same field which they used to have to clear of rocks before practices. But the barbecue was moved into the school cafeteria, where the former Indians shared memories (1) Using part of main memory to support a low-cost display circuit that does not have its own memory. It was just a whole different world then.'' Of the 13 members on the 1950 team, nine attended the reunion Saturday, some from as far away as Montana and Arizona. Three of the players have passed away, but photos of the trio in their Hart High baseball uniforms were prominent at Saturday's event. A couple of the men had seen each other in the years since the team, after being shut out by Santa Paula Santa Paula (săn`tə pôl`ə), city (1990 pop. 25,062), Ventura co., S Calif., on the Santa Clara River in a fertile valley that yields citrus fruits, avocados, vegetables, flowers, nursery products, and walnuts; laid out 1875, inc. Decades, most of the men agreed, had changed more than just the campus. ``I don't think I would have recognized any of them, except maybe one,'' said Don Smith, the injured in·jure tr.v. in·jured, in·jur·ing, in·jures 1. And their energy was great - when they were being introduced, they were up there high-fiving each other.'' After lunch, some of the members from the '50 team took a stroll over to the field. Grass was installed on the field before the season started in 1950, so that team was the first to enjoy what was, back then, a luxury. ``Being back here, I have to say that when you go to a school, you become a part of it,'' Smith said. ``When it changes, you fell a little bit alienated al·ien·ate tr.v. al·ien·at·ed, al·ien·at·ing, al·ien·ates 1.
