``Robbie went out and did his job and we got a must-win,'' Simi Valley coach Karl Zierhut said. ``I'm real, real pleased with him. He's has a very good grasp of what we're trying to do offensively, and that's 90 percent of it.''

Fierro also was on the receiving end of a touchdown pass. He scored on a 6-yard reception in the first quarter on a double reverse.

Things don't figure to get any easier from here on out for Simi Valley, which travels to Moorpark in Week 7 in a battle that could very well determine which team stays alive in the league race and which one doesn't.

``The good news is we won Friday. The bad news is we have to keep winning every game the rest of the way,'' Zierhut said. ``You can't count anyone out. This league is crazy this season.''
