The festival, an event hosted by the Antelope Valley Sheriff's Boosters to raise money for the annual volunteer banquet in September, kicked off offering food and wine samples to the more than 50 people attending, officials said. ``There are less restaurants here this year than last, but there seem to be a few more people,'' said Deputy Bobby Rush
