"We believe one reason the FS460 was selected by Sony for this Linux-based CoCoon product, was because it had been developed with Intel for a Media Center Reference Design, specifically for home entertainment applications. Linux drivers had already been worked out and it was completely ready for implementation with Intel processors." Windows CE (Windows Consumer Electronics) Microsoft's version of Windows for handheld devices and embedded systems that use x86, ARM, MIPS and SHx CPUs. Windows CE .NET superseded Windows CE 3.0.  and XP drivers are also available for the FS460. Sony was able to easily convert bitmap user interface images directly into alpha masks (images to be combined with other video or graphics) using a simple Java(TM) application that interfaced conveniently and directly with to the FS460 drivers. FOCUS' unique blending technology provided the path to this straightforward and elegant process.

The FOCUS FS460 is a member of a family of low cost, high performance video processors used to convert high-resolution computer graphics into stunning TV images, in both Standard and High Definition formats.
