(TM) to process legacy data exchanges between FMC's Chemical Products Group and its fleet management partner. The Chemical Products Group generates approximately $1 billion in sales for FMC Corporation.

The Chemical Products Group uses webMethods B2B to link critical data from its SAP R/3(R) system to the backend systems of its fleet management partner. In order to comply with Y2K standards, the Chemical Products Group needed to undergo a vast systems re-engineering process. FMC chose to restructure its entire supply chain, and outsource fleet management and applications hosting to a third-party company. webMethods B2B's open architecture and support for XML enabled seamless data exchanges between FMC and its fleet management partner. Under the new automated supply chain management, FMC can better track its fleet and deliveries, and customers can now easily check the status of orders.
