``She still sees, hears and speaks well. You wouldn't know she's the age she is. She'll be there to sign autographs both days.''

A flyover by a squadron of vintage AT-6 Texans will launch the event's opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Performances by aerobatic airplanes are expected to be popular.

``We have the most impressive lineup of aerobatic performers in the history of the air show,'' said Stacy Geere, spokeswoman for the airport.

This includes former U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Champion Sean D. Tucker, who will demonstrate the ``Skydance'' featuring his trademark inverted inverted

On display for the first time in Los Angeles will be the C-17 Globemaster III cargo planes, the first strategic aircraft designed for low-level flying.
