FLYING HISTORY LESSON ARRIVES MONDAY.

LANCASTER - A restored World War II-era B-17 bomber will arrive at Fox Field on Monday to begin four days of sightseeing flights and tours.

Painted in the colors of the ``Sentimental Journey,'' a B-17 that had two movies made about it, the plane was restored by a volunteer group of Arizona aviation buffs as a flying museum and memorial.

``We had to tear it down and redo To reverse an undo operation. See undo.  it into World War II configuration,'' said volunteer Dick Exler. ``We're proud of it.''

The plane is due to arrive at noon Monday. It will be displayed in front of the terminal building at the airport, 4555 W. Ave. G, and can be toured until 8 p.m. that night, weather permitting. It will be displayed 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, then leaves Friday morning.

A donation is requested for tours.

The plane is available for rides - at $395 a person, tax-deductible. A minimum of five passengers must be booked for each flight, and passengers must be at least 18 years old. Reservations can be made by calling (602) 538-5675.

Sentimental Journey's visit is being hosted by Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 49.
