FLY-FISHING INNOVATOR DIES AT 56.Byline: - Bill Becher Gary LaFontaine, well known fly-fishing author, publisher, speaker and innovative fly-tier, died Jan. 4 at the age of 56 after a long battle with ALS Als (äls), Ger. To overwhelm or daze with a loud noise. 3. the fly-fishing world with its careful research and groundbreaking ideas on trout fishing. LaFontaine was a founding partner in Greycliff Publishing Company, publisher of many works on fishing. He published more than 100 articles on fly-fishing in more than a dozen different national and regional publications. He wrote five books and co-authored many more, including the just-released ``Fly Fishing the Yellowstone'' (with Bob Jacklin) and ``Fly Fishing the Madison'' (with Craig Mathews). |
