FLUOR DANIEL AWARDED CONTRACT BY PILIPINAS SHELL PETROLEUM IRVINE, Calif., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Fluor Daniel announced today it has been awarded a contract by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. in connection with the expansion of the Tabangao refinery located in Batangas, the Philippines, approximately 75 miles from Manila. Fluor Daniel's Hydrocarbon Sector will provide project management, detailed design, engineering, procurement and construction management services for work valued at approximately $400 million. Engineering is under way in Fluor Daniel's Irvine and Manila offices. Construction is scheduled for completion by mid-1994. Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. is partially owned (67 percent) by the European-based Royal Dutch/Shell Group with the balance held by local shareholders.
