FLORIDA REFERS MOST FRAUD INSURANCE CASES FOR PROSECUTION.


The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud has found Florida Florida, state, United States
Florida (flôr`ĭdə, flŏr`–), state in the extreme SE United States. A long, low peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean (E) and the Gulf of Mexico (W), Florida is bordered by Georgia and
 referred more insurance fraud cases for prosecution prosecution n. 1) in criminal law, the government attorney charging and trying the case against a person accused of a crime. 2) a common term for the government's side in a criminal case, as in "the prosecution will present five witnesses" or "the prosecution rests"  in 2002 than any other state.

It said Florida referred 771 cases for prosecution.

California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  was second, referring 687 for prosecution.

The coalition found Florida also led the nation in the number of convictions obtained in the cases referred for prosecution, with 456 in 2002.
