FLORA, FAUNA TO GREET GUESTS AT ENCINO GARDEN FAIR TODAY.

Exotic birds The Exotic Birds was a pop music group formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1983 by three Cleveland Institute of Music percussion students, Andy Kubiszewski, Tom Freer and Tim Adams. They wrote their own music and were described as synth pop, techno-pop and techno-dance. , a petting zoo, a bonsai bonsai (bōn`sī), art of cultivating dwarf trees. ``I like the little bunnies best, 'cause they're so fuzzy,'' said fair-goer Augusta Salegna, 12, of Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  on Saturday.

``I really like animals,'' she said. ``They're just so sweet and gentle, and I like plants.''

That's why Augusta belongs to Sepulveda Garden's plant club, which meets the second Monday of every month. The youngsters discuss cactus and succulents and it's where Augusta learned about this weekend's annual fete.

It's free and open to the public and folks are friendly.

Marshall Winer of the Sansui-Kai Club of Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  welcomes visitors to the bonsai tree display with ``Willie'' the mascot on his shoulder, a green-feathered parrot with a fuzzy gray crown.

``He has helped me greet the public at the fairs here for the last five years,'' Winer said.

Amateur gardeners can bring a bag or box and take home a sample of organic planter mix.

There are miniature roses, flower bulbs, plants, seeds, water-garden fountains, jewelry, homemade dolls, planters and many other arts and crafts for sale.

The fair will run today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Sepulveda Garden Center is at 16633 Magnolia Blvd. in Encino.

And the Huntington Garden's Spring Plant Sale also will be held today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the employee parking lot just west of the main parking area of the garden at 1151 Oxford Road in San Marino San Marino, city, United States
