FIVE TURNER CABLE NETWORKS JOIN 15 OTHERS IN USING PRODIGY TO COMMUNICATE WITH VIEWERS

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Prodigy, the nation's largest and most popular interactive network, announced that the five Turner Broadcasting System Inc. cable networks -- CNN, Headline News, WTBS Superstation, TNT, and Cartoon Network -- will use Prodigy to promote their programming and solicit opinions and preferences from viewers. The Turner networks join 15 other cable networks that will go online with Prodigy for the same purposes beginning in November.
Initially, Prodigy will provide participating networks with three interactive services: detailed program highlights and listings; viewer polls, which allow viewers to vote on aspects of a network they like or dislike; and bulletin boards, which allow viewers to send comments to a network and communicate with each other.
The other participating networks announced last week include: American Movie Classics, Bravo, Comedy Central, CNBC, Country Music Television, The Discovery Channel, E! Entertainment Television, Encore, Jones Computer Network, The Learning Channel, Mind Extension University (ME/U): The Education Network, The Movie Channel, The Nashville Network, Showtime, and The Travel Channel.
