A Wal-Mart store in the Porter Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

The five people were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills for examination, Wells said.

A special Fire Department team with instruments used to detect hazardous materials entered the store, but found nothing, Wells said.

The store in the 19800 block of Rinaldi Street was evacuated at about 2:30 p.m.

About 1 1/2 hours later it was reopened for normal business, Wells said.
