Work is currently being focused on the 1.65 million acre Molopo property on which in excess of 100 kimberlite kimberlite: see diamond. kimberlite or blue ground Dark, heavy, often fragmented igneous rock that may contain diamonds in the rock matrix. targets have been identified in addition to the 35 known pipes (7 diamondiferous). Twenty seven reverse circulation drill holes representing 3918 m of drilling have been completed to date and of these 21 have successfully intersected kimberlite pipes. Four of these holes re-tested known kimberlite pipes. Preliminary studies of kimberlite indicator mineral results have been received only for the first five samples (being samples 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9) with the remaining samples being processed currently. The work is being carried out at Scientific Services (Pty) Ltd. of Capetown, South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa. , by John Gurney The name John Gurney may refer to:
Orapa mine contain a significant ecologitic diamond component. This is also to report that diamond picking is underway and Southern Africa Minerals Corp. has received preliminary results. All samples comprise 50 kg of dry bedrock chips, subjected to acid dissolution extraction techniques by Scientific Services (Pty) Ltd. Diamonds have been visually reported in seven of the first fifteen samples. Sample Kimberlite Comments ----------- -0-

Processing is currently underway on the remaining samples. Work at the laboratory to quantify the numbers and quality of stones as well as indicator mineral analyses on all of the above samples is still in progress and the company will only be provided with the results when the full diamond extraction work is concluded at the laboratory. All results will be assessed in terms of the large, known Southern African kimberlite and diamond mine database. As well, these and all subsequent results will form Southern Africa Minerals' preliminary exploration assessment program, expected to encompass some 80 holes. The Company has planned at least 10 more drill holes on the Molopo project, which will be followed up by the additional drilling of at least 45 high priority geophysical targets on the Lekgodu, Kokong and Mabuasehube and Mosomane licences in the coming months. The success of the drill program, especially the early discovery of five new diamondiferous kimberlites, is considered highly encouraging. Following the present reconnaissance drilling program the next phase of exploration will involve the collection of larger drill core samples from prospective pipes. Southern Africa Minerals Corp. is well funded to complete this exploration work and will make results available as they are received.
