FIVE INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH.

CASTAIC - Five people in route to the Love Ride celebration at Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. Three drivers and a passenger received major injuries, while another passenger had mild injuries following the 10 a.m. crash on the northbound Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California. Originally built as U.S. Highway 99, it was re-signed as Interstate 5 in 1964.  at Parker Road.

Jeffrey Monahan, 40, of Chino Chino (chē`nō), city (1990 pop. 59,682), San Bernardino co., S Calif.; founded 1887, inc. 1910. It is the business and processing center of a diversified farming (notably dairying) area.  Hills was riding a 1998 Harley Davidson; Joseph Solis, 67, and his wife, Ernestine Solis, 53, both of Rosemead were on a 2000 Yamaha, and Timothy Randolph Clark, 49, Oak Park, was riding a 2002 Harley Davidson. All suffered broken bones, officials said.

Passenger Shirley Clark, 44, of Oak Park received minor injuries, authorities reported.

Each of the injured was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

``All five were ejected off their motorcycles,'' Kirkpatrick said. ``There was no significant head trauma.''

Two northbound lanes were closed for about an hour and the Parker Road off-ramp was closed intermittently as emergency workers arrived on the scene and highway patrol officers conducted their investigation.

The cause of the collision was under investigation.
