FIVE INJURED IN EXPLOSION AT BASEBALL TOURNAMENT.

Five people were injured, three seriously, when a barbecue propane propane, CH3CH2CH3, colorless, gaseous alkane. It is readily liquefied by compression and cooling. It melts at −189.9°C; and boils at −42.2°C;.  tank exploded during a youth baseball tournament Sunday, sending all the victims to the hospital for treatment.

The tank exploded about 5:20 p.m. as a woman and two teen-agers sold food during the William S. After hearing the explosion, people who were gathered at the fields near the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and Cinema Drive scattered as a small fireball fireball, very bright meteor leaving a trail in the sky that can remain visible for several minutes; often a distinct sound, perhaps caused by very low frequency radio waves, is associated with it.  jumped from the tank, Los Angeles County fire officials said.

Three people were seriously burned. Two medical transport helicopters landed on the baseball fields while paramedics and residents tended to the victims.

A woman in her 40s, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were airlifted to Henry Mayo Medical Center, fire officials said.

Two boys who were standing in line were taken to the hospital by ambulance, but they weren't seriously injured, Los Angeles County Fire spokeswoman Clyde Taylor said.Their names and cities of residence were not immediately available.
