FIVE HELD AFTER COKE, METH BUST IN MOJAVE.

Five people were arrested Tuesday after Kern Kern, river, 155 mi (249 km) long, rising in the S Sierra Nevada Mts., E Calif., and flowing south, then southwest to a reservoir in the extreme southern part of the San Joaquin valley. The river has Isabella Dam as its chief facility.  County sheriff's deputies found methamphetamine methamphetamine (mĕth'ămfĕt`əmēn): see amphetamine; methedrine. , cash and cocaine in a Mojave house.

Deputies with the East Area Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the house in the 6300 block of Backus Road and found a small amount of methamphetamine and cocaine. They arrested Tina Nelson, 32, of Mojave; Evangelina Navarro, 36, of Mojave; and James Roberts, 39, of San Bernardino San Bernardino, city, United States

During the search, deputies said, Mark Nelson, 44, of Mojave and his son, Mark Nelson Jr., 23, of San Bernardino arrived at the house and were found to be in possession of more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine and $4,410 in cash.

Mark Nelson Jr. is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail while the rest are being held without bail.
