FITTING IMAGE, BLAIR?

Byline: Paul ROUTLEDGE

THE size of Tony Blair's head had to be reduced to fit the canvas of his latest official portrait.

Artist Phil Hale Philip Oliver Hale, born in 1963, [1]is an American Figurative painter who currently resides in London, England.

Prior to turning to fine arts he worked as an illustrator, doing mostly figurative work. He studied under Rick Berry and alongside with Jon Foster.

 the dragon.

Meanwhile, Blair's bonce has been inflated again with his Faith Foundation, dedicated to agreement between Islam, Christianity, Judaism and everything from Buddhism to Flat Earthers. He couldn't bring peace to Iraq, but now he will bring harmony to worshippers everywhere. I don't think.

His expenses as an MP are interesting. He spent pounds 47,000 on his home in Sedgefield, Co Durham, while living rent-free in Downing Street and Chequers.

The house only cost pounds 30,000 to buy, but the pounds 175,000-a-year PM claimed pounds 15,025 for a mortgage between 2001 and 2004, showing that he remortgaged - a practice now forbidden to MPs owning their homes outright.

He also claimed pounds 239 for furniture, pounds 628 for food, pounds 6,359 for utility bills, pounds 17,553 for maintenance, pounds 4,526 for cleaning and pounds 337 for his TV licence.

He makes pounds 1 million a year from two part-time jobs these days. And more for public speaking. I don't know why he bothers with warring religious factions. Why doesn't he just buy them off?
