FISHING NOTES: ANGLING FOR A PASSPORT.Byline: Keith Lair Staff Writer LONG BEACH - California anglers need a fishing license, and they'll soon need a passport. On June 10, California's statewide ``Free Fishing Day,'' anglers can obtain a California Fishing Passport, meant to ``guide people who are interested in discovering new fishing adventures throughout the state,'' says Department of Fish and Game director Ryan Broddrick. The passport is the brainchild of biologist Carrie Wilson. For each species of fish caught, a stamp can be attached to anglers' passports. The passport will contain a list of all game fish found in California waters, including more than 40 freshwater and 150 saltwater species, and a handful of shellfish species. No cost has yet been set for the passport, but Wilson promises it will be less than $10. Anglers can prove their catch by showing a digital photo to a stamp agency, which will be an establishment that sells DFG DFG Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Council) DFG Department of Fish and Game DFG District Factor Group DFG Data Flow Graph DFG Difference Frequency Generation DFG Diode Function Generator DFG Dog Faced Gremlin licenses.
