 FIRST UNION TO PROVIDE MOBILE BANKING SERVICES
 MIAMI, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- First Union National Bank of Florida


has established a mobile branch banking network to provide services to the victims of Hurricane Andrew.
 As part of this effort, First Union on Monday, Aug. 31, will open four mobile banking branches.
 In addition, First Union will provide mobile banking services for public service groups, hospitals, the National Guard, the military, Southern Bell, Florida Power & Light and relief workers. Those groups needing onsite banking services should call 800-726-6493 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to arrange for the mobile service.
 The four mobile units will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:
 -- Cutler Ridge, First Union parking lot, 1150 SW 211th St., Miami
 -- Pioneer Park, Homestead Boulevard and 312th Street
 -- South Dade, First Union parking lot, 14801 South Dixie Highway, Miami
 -- Florida City Community Center, 344th Street and SW 6th Avenue
 For those people affected by Hurricane Andrew, First Union will also provide free travelers and cashiers checks. First Union will also cash all government checks and personal customer checks. First Union has expanded its policy for cashing non-customer checks to include those issued by well-known companies and personal checks of small denominations. First Union has also agreed to cash insurance claim checks for up to $5,000 for several major insurance companies.
 Customers of both First Union and Southeast Bank, which became part of First Union last year, will be able to use both First Union and Southeast offices in Dade County to conduct business. First Union and Southeast have 44 branches open in Dade County.
