FIREFIGHTERS GET ICY THANKS FOR THEIR HOTEL-SAVING EFFORTS.

Trading gallons of water for gallons of ice cream Saturday, the staff of the Hilton Woodland Hills used Cherry Garcia Cherry Garcia is a flavor of ice cream (and low fat frozen yogurt) sold exclusively by Vermont ice cream manufacturer Ben & Jerry's. The ice cream itself is cherry flavored and, in addition, contains pieces of Bing cherries and chunks of chocolate.  to thank the firefighters who saved them from a flood.

So hotel staff brought a Ben & Jerry's ice cream ``Scoop Truck'' to the station in gratitude.

``These guys came in a flash with more people than you've ever seen,'' Way said. ``They did a great job. This is the least we could do for them.''

The firefighters, their families and local residents and children sampled scoops of various flavors from the truck. Most popular was the new Bovinity Divinity, a combination of chocolate and white chocolate white chocolate
