FIRE HURTS TUJUNGA SIBLINGS; 2-YEAR-OLD BROTHER PLAYING WITH LIGHTER, OFFICIALS SAY.

A 3-year-old was seriously burned Monday and her 2-year-old brother suffered minor injuries after he apparently set an apartment room on fire while playing with a cigarette lighter, authorities said.

The small blaze started shortly before 11 a.m. in the 10200 block of Samoa Avenue and was out before firefighters arrived, said Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
