FINAL ENFORCEMENT ORDERS ISSUED BY THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

The Federal Reserve Board announced on June 7, 1999, the issuance of a Cease and Desist Order An order issued by an Administrative Agency or a court proscribing a person or a business entity from continuing a particular course of conduct.

The force and effect of a cease and desist order are similar to those of an Injunction issued by a court.
 against Banco Atlantico, S.A., Barcelona, Spain, and its New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Agency. The Order was issued jointly with the Acting Superintendent of Banks of the State of New York.

Banco Popular de Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla.  San Juan, Puerto Rico San Juan (IPA: [saŋ hwaŋ]) (from the Spanish San Juan Bautista, "Saint John the Baptist") is the capital and largest municipality on Puerto Rico.  

The Federal Reserve Board announced on June 21, 1999, the issuance of an Order of Assessment of a Civil Money Penalty against Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico, a state member bank.
