This weekend's offerings include films from Chad, Burkina Faso Burkina Faso (burkē`nə fä`sō), republic (2005 est. pop. 13,925,000), 105,869 sq mi (274,200 sq km), W Africa. It borders on Mali in the west and north, on Niger in the northeast, on Benin in the southeast, and on Togo, Ghana, and , Martinique, Egypt and Zimbabwe, as well as the rarely seen Robert Drew documentary ``On the Road With Duke Ellington'' and Kevin Fitzgerald's hip-hop documentary, ``Freestyle.'' The Children's Festival at 10 a.m. Saturday will screen two movies for kids for free, and the Student Festival plays weekday mornings with free screenings aimed at middle and high school students. All films play at the Magic Johnson Theatres, 3650 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Baldwin Hills. The double feature at 7:30 opens with James Dean's rocket to stardom, ``East of Eden East of Eden is a novel by Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck, published in September 1952. Often described as Steinbeck's most ambitious novel, East of Eden ,'' and is followed by John Huston's ``Fat City,'' with Stacy Keach and Jeff Bridges as a pair of boxers seeking escape from working the hot, dusty fields of Stockton.
