 speech, Hitchcock was a fixture on television for 10 years when he hosted the television shows ``Alfred Hitchcock Presents'' (1955-62) and ``The Alfred Hitchcock Hour'' (1962-65). He even complained about being so familiar, saying that ``now that they know my face, they gather from miles around. It's hard to get any directing done.''

The Museum of Television & Radio is throwing a 100th Birthday Marathon today through Sunday that will feature 20 telefilms that he did get done, plus documentaries and interviews the director gave before his death in 1980.

Starting at 1:30 p.m. today, the 11-hour marathon condenses telefilms in categories such as ``Unveiling Vera Miles Vera Miles (born August 23, 1929[]) is an American actress. Biography

Fantastic voyage

The work of Richard Fleisher returns to the big screen on Wednesday when the American Cinematheque The American Cinematheque is an independent, non-profit cultural organization in Los Angeles dedicated exclusively to the public presentation of the Moving Image in all its forms. It is considered among the premier organizations of its kind in America.  presents a retrospective of the director of ``20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'' at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Fleischer will attend, along with several stars of his films, including Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh Janet Leigh (July 6, 1927 – October 3, 2004) was an Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning American actress. Biography

The nine-day series opens at 7 p.m. Wednesday with ``The Boston Strangler,'' co-starring Tony Curtis and Henry Fonda.

Highlights include Joan Collins' U.S. screen debut, ``The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing,'' on Thursday; ``Fantastic Voyage'' at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a new 35mm print of the futuristic ``Soylent Green''; the Norse adventure-love story ``The Vikings'' with Curtis, Kirk Douglas and Janet Leigh; the Jules Verne classic ``20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'' on Aug. 28 and a new 35mm print of ``Tora! Tora! Tora!'' re-enacting the events that led to the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.

Also included is the only known print of ``Mandingo,'' which was obtained from the United Kingdom for the event.

The Egyptian is at 6712 Hollywood Blvd. Box office opens one hour before show times. Tickets are $7 general admission and $5 for Cinematheque cin·e·ma·theque

Stalled in the '90s

Carrie Ansell took a camera crew into the men's and women's restrooms of a New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 club for her debut film ``flushed'' and emerged with a hilarious and tasteful take on sexual attitudes. It screens Saturday and Sunday at the Laemmle Sunset 5 in West Hollywood.

Ansell parades more than 100 actors before the camera to talk about themselves and expose their self-doubts and secrets as this culturally topsy-turvy decade draws to a close. ``Flushed'' screens at 10 a.m. and moves to Laemmle's Monica 4 Plex on Aug. 21 and 22.
