Boy meets boy

comedy back then pitted the wits of a fast-talking Katharine Hepburn against an even faster-talking Cary Grant in a setting ripe for romance.

But this is the '90s, and in this decade, humor and love comes in many arrangements. This is, after all, days after the historic ``Ellen'' coming-out episode.

So it makes perfect sense that the screwball comedy ``I Think I Do'' will open Outfest '97. The film is a tale that's more Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart than Grant and Hepburn. It will be screened July 11 at the gala first night of the 15th annual Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

``I Think I Do'' stars Alexis Arquette, Lauren Velez and Guillermo Diaz in a story about two college roommates who meet up five years after graduation at the Halloween wedding of two friends. There, they are introduced to a hunky hun·ky 1

The film was written and directed by Brian Sloan, a graduate of New York New York, state, United States

The screening will be held at the 2,000-seat Los Angeles Theatre, a 1931 downtown movie palace registered as a national landmark. It was designed by architect Charles Lee in the lavish style of Louis XIV and features a full orchestra pit.

Other screenings and events will take place at the Directors Guild, 7920 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood.
