AstralTech will become part of Technicolor's Packaged Media Group - the company's largest division, comprised of video manufacturing, optical manufacturing and distribution operations. All of AstralTech's 360-plus video duplication and distribution employees are being offered positions with Technicolor, the company said. Technicolor's Canadian operation will have the capacity to produce more than 45 million videocassette units a year. The move also better positions Technicolor to become one of Canada's leading DVD packaged media manufacturers. |
