FICS Group and Banksys Extend Strategic Partnership Agreement.


CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1997--FICS Group, a leading developer in the field of electronic banking products, and Banksys, the market leader in electronic purse technology with its Proton "smart card" product, have announced plans to collaborate more closely on joint domestic and international projects during 1998.

Van Wayenberge cited a joint project currently underway for American Express American Express (NYSE: AXP), sometimes known as "AmEx" or "Amex", is a diversified global financial services company, headquartered in New York City. The company is best known for its credit card, charge card and traveler's cheque businesses.  as an example of the "closeness of our collaboration" with FICS.
