FGM Introduces Language Translation Tracking System for Marianas Visitors Authority; FGM And StarrTech Interactive Partner to Develop Multilingual Web Site Solution.

FGM, Inc. announced today that the company, in partnership with StarrTech Interactive, developed a multilingual web site to help the Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) attract international visitors to the Marianas Islands.

StarrTech provided graphic design and site layout while FGM developed a Content Management System and a Language Translation Tracking System (LaTTS) giving the MVA the ability to efficiently and easily update, translate, and manage multilingual web site content.

FGM's LaTTS methodology incorporates the latest web technology and brings together geographically-dispersed content managers and translators through one familiar web interface. LaTTS uses XML to store translated data, and eliminates the need for multiple databases to exist for the different languages and translations.

Using ColdFusion, XML, and the Oracle Relational Database, FGM implemented a three-tier architecture to facilitate easy maintenance of the web site content and a tool for translators to monitor and update content requiring translation. LaTTS provides seamless integration of the translation process and tracks that process with web-based forms, reports, and email notifications.
