Make Up: It's St. Louis in '90

The Farm Equipment Wholesalers Assn. has voted not to separate its convention from that of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Assn. in 1990. The count was 44 to 15 after participating companies cast ballots during the 1989 convention in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 31.

The two groups have met side by side, same hotel and city, since FEMA's founding in 1950. A split developed after FEMA announced its intention to form two associate member groups, one for wholesalers and one for manufacturers' representatives. FEWA then announced its intention to move its 1990 convention from the Adams Mark Hotel, St. Louis, where FEMA is also scheduled, to Kansas City.

The FEWA vote to keep its convention beside the FEMA gathering after FEMA said it would drop plans to form the associate sections.

Full coverage of the 1989 conventions will appear in the January issue of I&T.
