FESTIVAL SHOWCASES FILMS FROM WOMEN WORLDWIDE.Byline: - Bob McCarthy Daily News Women's film festivals had their heyday in the 1970s, giving a voice to feminist-minded filmmakers who were outside the mainstream. As barriers into Hollywood slowly fell, the festivals came down with them. Today, only a handful of U.S. cities showcase films by women, among them New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of and Boston.
