FESTIVAL OF LIGHT.


Twenty-two major international photography festivals will be highlighted on a Web site entitled en·ti·tle  
tr.v. en·ti·tled, en·ti·tling, en·ti·tles
1. To give a name or title to.

2. To furnish with a right or claim to something:
 "Festival of Light." The on-line festival will be in place for two years and will feature events from festivals in 16 countries including PhotoEspana in Spain Spain, Span. España (āspä`nyä), officially Kingdom of Spain, constitutional monarchy (2005 est. pop. 40,341,000), 194,884 sq mi (504,750 sq km), including the Balearic and Canary islands, SW Europe. , Fototage Herten in Germany Germany (jûr`mənē), Ger. Deutschland, officially Federal Republic of Germany, republic (2005 est. pop. 82,431,000), 137,699 sq mi (356,733 sq km). , Month of Photography Moscow in Russia, Encuentros Abiertos de Fotografia in Argentina, Mes de la Fotographia en Xalapa in Mexico, Le Mois de la Photo a Montreal in Canada and Bratislava Month of Photography in Slovakia. The program aims to promote photography around the world, as well as to encourage international cooperation and creativity. The global festival collaboration Working together on a project. See collaborative software.  is the first of its kind. Organizers hope that it will serve as a model for future alliances between festivals.

The festival's Web site will premier on December 13, providing information about the festivals to an estimated audience of over 7 million people on three continents.
