Carlos Hernandez, 24, was convicted in November of trying to kill Edgar Martinez, 24, after an altercation in a downtown Glendale bar a year earlier. He posted bail just days before his Dec. 11 sentencing and has not been seen since, said Glendale police Sgt. Ian Grimes. ``He posted bail because he intended to flee, because he knew he was facing 25 years to life,'' Grimes said, adding that Hernandez should be considered armed and dangerous. ``He knows what's facing him, so he's got nothing to lose,'' Grimes said. Grimes and Deputy District Attorney Charles Chaiyarachta are upset by the disappearance of Hernandez. ``I'm disappointed and I hope that one way or another we'll be able to find him and bring him over for sentencing,'' Chaiyarachta said.
